HI DADA!:D i have come to visit you :D.

i like the bricks in the tryout one better, cos they are not so red thus look more worn and more fitting in the picture. the tree also looked less reddish in the tryout piece, so it fits the idea of a worn and undisturbed place. however, the light source in the final piece look more realistic, cos the light rays are blurrer and not from a point source. in the tryout piece, the light source was from a point source (the hole in the canopy). the light source was a good improvement :D i liked the flowers in the final piece better too. the shadows are darker, so it helped to increase the contrast and subsequently bring out the colour of the flowers.

and omg i love the second tryout piece. it have a very heavenly-grand feel to it, especially cos of the lilies in the background. perhaps can add a light source focusing on the liles so as to make the lilies stand out more and create a focus point in the picture. nevertheless, this piece is totally zai :D

Hey yingda! I have come to comment on your garden! Haha to tell the truth, I think I like your try-out painting more. Although the light filtering through should not be coming from a specific point source, I think the light potrayed in this painting is stronger as compared to the one in your actual painting. I like the way the light falls on the white flowers in your try-out painting. In your actual painting, the light falling on the white flowers seems to cover out the flowers such that they cannot be seen clearly.

To make your garden look more "forgotten", perhaps you can add in more flowers, or even blend more colours into the greenery. Nevertheless, I am very impressed by your style of painting, which gives a soft and calming effect.
